About Us |
About usBookwormsBookworms was originally started as an independent bookshop in the 1970s. It remained in the same family ownership until 2003, when Craig and Sarah Scott took over. Bookworms stocks an interesting selection of books, as well as cards and calendars. Helensburgh, on the Clyde coast, is renowned for its wide variety of individual shops. Craig E ScottBorn and brought up on the West Coast of the United States, Craig inherited a love of books from both sides of his family. His Scottish forebears were all known as avid readers, while his maternal grandfather was a bookseller, and his mother was the childrens librarian in Hollywood. Craig moved to the UK in 1975, and worked in technical advertising, public relations and business documentation. A keen local historian and genealogist, he carried out research, gave talks, and produced display material. He appeared on BBC-TVs Mastermind in 1981, and as a long-standing member of the Mastermind Club, he was for many years editor of their newsletter, pass, and served a term as the Clubs President.
